Executive Vice President
Derek started with the City of Winnipeg in 1997 as a bus operator and has been an active member of the Union on many committees. He started as a shop steward in 2012 and held the positions of Recording Secretary, Assistant Chief Steward, and the position of Chief Steward twice. He was appointed to the Executive Board in 2013. He has held the positions of Executive Board Operations #2, Recording Secretary for 2 back-to-back 3-year terms, and was elected Executive Vice President in December of 2022.
