WINNIPEG, August 4, 2022 – While ATU members rallied at City Hall for a safer Transit System Transit workers were literally being assaulted while on duty.

It was a great turn-out at our Rally for Transit Safety!  Transit workers, union activists, politicians, Transit advocates, Transit users, and the public all came to support the call.

WINNIPEG - On July 24, 2022 a passenger attempted to stab a Winnipeg Transit driver with a knife by reaching around the driver's shield.  ATU Local 1505 demands for extended shields to be installed for the safety of operators, riders, and the surrounding public.
