Please join us for this year’s December 6th Virtual Memorial Service in honour of the National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women, presented by the MFL Women’s Committee. Event poster attached.
This year’s event will be structured as a zoom webinar (12:00 PM – 12:30 PM), and will include an important address from our special guest speaker, CLC President, Sister Bea Bruske, on the topic:
Ending Sexism, Harassment & Violence: Union Work, Union Responsibility
As we do every year, we will also be fundraising for Manitoba’s network of women’s shelters. Since we’re unable to hold an in-person fundraising lunch this year, you can support our fundraiser in one of two ways:
(1) By making a donation c/o Manitoba Federation of Labour, 303-275 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4M6 (memo: Dec 6th), or
(2) By purchasing holiday poinsettia plants through our fundraising partnership with Shelmerdine’s. You can order plants online at the following link, and they will be available for pick-up on December 6th from the Union Centre:
