The event will be held in front of the Fort Rouge Garage located at 421 Osborne, Winnipeg. We are asking Media to attend around 2:30 PM.

WINNIPEG, March 18th, 2023 – Today is Transit Worker Appreciation Day! The Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1505 encourages Winnipeggers and Brandonites to take a moment to appreciate their Transit Drivers & Workers today.

Transit Worker Appreciation Day has its roots in Seattle, WA, in 2009 and has been observed and celebrated by the ATU since 2014.

MACHETE ATTACK REINFORCES TRANSIT UNIONS CALL FOR TRANSIT SECURITY

WINNIPEG, February 10, 2023 – Today, the Winnipeg Police Service issued a News Release about an assault that occurred yesterday, February 9th, of an unprovoked attack with a machete on an adult male – both the victim and the suspect were passengers of the same Transit bus and alighted at the same stop at Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue where the victim was assaulted.
